For courage & devotion to duty displayed in volunteering & taking part in the fourth expedition which proceeded to Aberdeen in the early morning of 25th December and obtaine 1000 grenades, badly required, from the Military Magazines at Shouson Hill, in close proximity of the enemy.

Please see Diary Entry No. 1 of the 25th.

For courage & devotion to duty dis- played in volunteering & taking part in the second and/or third expedition which proceeded to Aber- deen on the evening of the 22nd & the afternoon of the 25th. Please see Diary Entries No. 14 of the 22nd & No. 16 of the 23rd. "r. B. Fay, A.S.P., S.I. Taylor & 1. S. A83 MacDonald took part in both these two expeditions, & 1. S. A54 Hewitt took part in the third. The remaining officers took part in the earlier, i.e. the second expedition only.
